June 2025 Kingdom Capital Report

A Note from Norwood:

Greetings! It’s a beautiful June here in Indiana. Having moved to Indiana in 2023, Aerah and I are discovering many special things about Indiana and among those things are Indiana summers.

What an incredible year we are having at the Wesleyan Investment Foundation! Just since January 1, we have added an additional 81 church loans totaling more than $156MM in fundings with approved credit limits of $274MM. Many of our loans are construction related and as construction progresses, we expect the total funding to reach the fully approved limit in the coming months.

This activity highlights the importance of the Kingdom Building opportunity before us.  Across the US and Canada, we see churches growing, expanding and serving their communities. This is at the core of our mission at WIF.

And, your investment is the fuel for this mission. Without your investment in WIF, we simply could not do this Kingdom Building work. Later this year, we will celebrate 80 years of serving the local church and our investors, people just like you and me, have been a part of this story since the beginning. Thank you!

As I write this, the Federal Open Market Committee is meeting to provide policy guidance on the Fed Funds Rate and its outlook for the next few years. Certainly, the last few months have introduced several global variables that we did not anticipate in late December as we were establishing our rate in January.

On July 1, we’ll announce our investment rates for the period of July 1 through December 31. Many people ask me how we set our rates. And, while the general markets influence our rate decisions, they are not the only factor. We also consider our need for capital to fund new loans to churches based on existing liquidity. We look at the anticipated loan applications and activity over the next 6 – 12 months. And, we look at where commercial banks are lending. All these factors are considered as we establish rates.

Again, thank you for investing in the Wesleyan Investment Foundation. On behalf of the entire team, we are honored to be trusted to steward your investment!

Kind regards,

C. Norwood Davis
