About Wesleyan Investment Foundation

Wesleyan Investment Foundation serves ministries through strategic, faith-based financing. Since 1946, we’ve partnered with churches across the U.S. to help them grow, build, and thrive. Our primary purpose and operations are providing loan assistance to churches and church-related entities so they can expand their facilities, purchase land, build, renovate, or refinance current debt.

Open Positions

The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and the organization’s legal functions. This individual plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s day-to-day legal needs, including securities compliance, facilitating real estate and lending transactions, and helping ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal law.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in securities, real estate, and/or lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of securities regulations or real estate and lending practices.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and office technology.
  • Apply both critical and creative thinking to problem-solving tasks.

The Senior Loan Closing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the loan closing process, including loan document preparation, reviewing title commitments, processing, and funding of church loans. This person will prepare, review, and verify all applicable loan documentation and required real estate due diligence items necessary for loan closings.

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial and/or church loan operation experience.
  • Experience in commercial real estate.
  • Ideal candidate would have experience with Jack Henry/Laser Pro.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and timely.
  • Service-oriented and team-oriented
  • Enjoys and actively participates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
