General Description

The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and the organization’s legal functions. This individual plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s day-to-day legal needs, including securities compliance, facilitating real estate and lending transactions, and helping ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal law.

This person must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. This person must be faith-oriented, exhibit professionalism, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with internal staff, state securities regulators, title companies, and external partners. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting the organization’s mission with excellence.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answering daily investor phone call transfer requests and other inquiries.
  • Processing transfer requests and other inquiries via the investor-facing digital interface.
  • Enrolling investors for online access.
  • Assisting investors with general questions regarding investment accounts.
  • Uploading of daily transactions.
  • Processing check deposits to investment accounts.
  • Performing account maintenance and updates such as POA documentation, Beneficiary Payouts and Designations, trust paperwork, etc.
  • Uploading investment account related documentation.
  • Monitors individual workflows and capacity to support proper Investment Team talent allocation in coordination with the DIO and VPIO.
  • Actively participates in departmental meetings to strengthen communication, project management, process improvement, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Maintains strong security awareness, sound practices, and discretion when handling personally identifiable, financial, and confidential investor information.
  • Addresses complex, challenging, or detailed investor inquiries at the direction of the DIO.
  • Supports accurate documentation, system usage, and process discipline to improve investor experience, internal visibility, and operational consistency.
  • Performs all other duties, requirements, and responsibilities as assigned by the DIO or VPIO.

Experience Requirements

  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in securities, real estate, and/or lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of securities regulations or real estate and lending practices.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and office technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with securities filings and real estate closings.
  • Familiarity with title insurance, tax bills, and loan documents.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies or a related field.
